Sanded Finish vs Polished & Glossy: Choose What You Truly Value

By The Vyne Team

Two Finishes, Different Priorities

At Vyne, we offer two finishes designed for different needs: Sanded finish (standard) and Polished & glossy. Below we explain what each option involves so you can choose based on what you truly value, whether that is comfort, durability, price, or appearance.

Sanded finish (standard)

Sanded finish (standard) is achieved through progressive sanding up to 2000 grit. The resulting feel is soft and comfortable, ideal for continuous use, yet the surface retains a matte look and is not completely uniform visually. It is a solid choice, resistant to wear and scratches, economical, and reliable in day to day use. If aesthetics are not your priority, if you value savings, speed, and functionality over shine, choose Sanded finish (standard).

Polished & glossy

Polished & glossy starts from the same sanding up to 2000 and adds a controlled chemical polish that brings a natural shine and a much more uniform, professional appearance. Besides the aesthetic benefit, the polish leaves the surface a bit smoother and more compact, which makes cleaning easier, because it is more sealed, dirt does not cling to micropores. This process is performed under controlled conditions and requires oven drying to stabilize the finish, so orders with Polished & glossy need approximately two additional weeks. Choose this when you want a more refined presentation or the smoothest possible surface for hygienic or aesthetic reasons.

Which one to choose

If you prioritize comfort, durability, and economy, sanded finish (standard) will deliver an excellent result. If you value presentation, easier cleaning, and a more polished look, polished & glossy justifies the cost and the wait.
